How to get to the UNICORE Summit

Dresden airport is located 9 km northwest of the city center and is easily reached by automobile, train, tram and bus. For detailed information, see the Dresden Airport Website. The airport train S-Bahn Line S2 station is on the lower level of the terminal building. It takes you about 22 minutes to travel to Dresden main train station ("Dresden Hauptbahnhof").
From 5 in the morning till midnight the train leaves every30 minutes For detailed information see the detailed map of public transportation withing Dresden and S2 timetable (type in route S2). Then continue as described here.

Airport Train S2

The Bus Line 66 station is located directly in east of the main train station building (Go from the platforms through the main hall with the dome). Take the direction "Coschütz/Gittersee" or "Mockritz". It takes you about 3 minutes to travel to the station "Technische Universität" nearby the conference building.

During the day the bus leaves every 10 minutes, in the evening every 15 minutes.For detailed information see the bus 66 timetable at stop Hauptbahnhof. Then continue as described here.

The campus of TU Dresden is located just south of the city centre. It can be reached by car via motorway A4 and A17 (Autobahn A4 and A17) and federal road B170/E55 (from south). At motorway interchange "Dresden-West" turn onto motorway A17 towards Pirna, Prague (Prag). After 12 km get off the motoway at exit "Dresden-Südvorstadt".
At the end of the exit turn to left (Direction Dresden). After approx. 2km, when you will go downhill the second time, the UNICORE Summit location is on the right site just before the second traffic light.


Dresden Public Transport

Dresden offers an excellent network of public transportation means. At all of the bus/tram stops, there is a time schedule listed. Information may also be obtained on the internet at: DVB.
Tickets can be bought either from machines at the stops, from a machine within a tram or from the bus driver. A ticket fits all types of transport (bus, tram, S-Bahn within Dresden, ferry ...).
